A taxi driver has reported to the police in Bavaria of a curious accident: He has a "big hamster with very large teeth" approached, the man said police.
According to the 49-year-old, he had still put on the brakes, but he could not prevent a collision. The rodent was left dead.
When the forces arrived at the accident at Attaching on the outskirts of Freising, they had found that the struck animal was not a hamster: The taxi driver was instead collided with a medium-sized boar.
Whether the taxi driver had never seen wild boars, a police spokesman could not say. The officials emphasized however: "the taxi driver was sober!"
