50 dead after hurricane "Dorian" in the Bahamas

After the hurricane disaster in the Bahamas, the death toll continues to rise. It was on Monday evening (local time) at 50, as the police announced.

It is assumed that in the search and rescue operations more deaths would be discovered. Many people would still be missing.

Thousands of inhabitants of the affected islands in the north of the Caribbean state have now been brought to the most populous island, New Providence, as well as to the United States. However, on Sunday, 119 people had to leave a ferry in the US state of Florida for missing US visas in the Bahamian city of Freeport. Citizens of the Bahamas are allowed to enter the United States without a visa if they show a passport and a police certificate of good conduct. Freeport, the largest city on the island of Grand Bahama, is only about 90 kilometers from the Florida coast.

US President Donald Trump said on Monday, everyone must have absolutely correct identity documents. He did not want to let people enter the country illegally in the Bahamas - including "very bad people".
