2019-09-10T05:40:39.391Z

The family goes: Chance the rapper has spontaneously postponed its North American tour to next year. After the birth of his second daughter, the 26-year-old wants to be more there for his wife and children.

He had been thinking about it for a week, writes US musician Chance the Rapper, and now he has made a decision: The 26-year-old is postponing his planned North American tour at short notice to spend more time with his family.

"This year was one of the best of my life, marriage, new baby, first album," wrote the father of two on Instagram for a photo showing him with his two daughters. It is also very exhausting to share his time and energy between family and work.

After the birth of daughter Kensli in September 2015, he went on tour two weeks later and missed important milestones in her life. "I can not make that mistake again," wrote the three-time Grammy award winner. Also because this time he especially wanted to help his wife Kirsten more.

I thought it over for the past week and I've decided to push back my tour. This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family and work. When Kensli Was Born, I Went On Tour 2 weeks later I missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most. At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can not make that mistake again. Kensli and Marli. I need to be helpful and available as soon as possible. I apologize because I know how many people were counting on seeing me soon, but I hope you understand and forgive me in time. Tour kicks off Jan. 15th and you can still get tix or your refund if you are unavailable at chanceraps.com & a few of the shows are still being rescheduled. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND LITERALLY CANT WAIT FOR THIS TO WITNESS THIS SHOW 9 SIDENOTE: 9/28 CHICAGO AT UNITED CENTER IS STILL ON AS WELL AS "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL FESTIVAL" "IHEART MUSIC FESTIVAL" & " MIAMI BEACH POP FIRST "! ❤️

Chance the rapper: Family first

Chance's planned "The Big Day" tour, with 35 appearances in the US and Canada, was scheduled to start in San Francisco next weekend and end in Miami in November. The rapper moved the prelude to mid-January in San Diego. In June, he briefly canceled his performance at the Danish Roskilde Festival, where he was announced as the main act.
