Crime Scene Commissioner Charlotte Lindholm is now available as a wax figure in Berlin. Actress Maria Furtwängler took this as an opportunity to talk about aging.

Aging is a "ruthless" process, says Maria Furtwängler - and only two things would help: humor and compassion. The actress said this at the unveiling of the wax figure of Commissioner Charlotte Lindholm in Berlin, which she plays in the "crime scene".

You know that you can not preserve appearance, said the 52-year-old. Every day brings a loss of youthfulness. At some point she will be able to say about her wax figure: "That's what I looked like."

Maria Furtwängler's wax figure: Preserved appearance

As an investigator Charlotte Lindholm Furtwängler solves since 2002 criminal cases in Hanover and in villages and small towns between the Harz and the North Sea. She also works for women on television and works together with the University of Rostock.

A study by the university showed that women are less common on television and disappear from the screen when they turn 35. That should change, said Furtwangler in Berlin. Next year will be measured again. "And I think we'll see changes, I'm very confident," said Furtwängler.
