Policemen in Hanover have discovered a body in an apartment in the district Ahlem. "According to the current state of investigation, the criminal police is suspected of a homicidal offense," said the police department in Hannover.
The corpse was discovered in a case of missing person's investigation. When reviewing the apartment of a missing since the end of August 61-year-olds had "clear evidence" revealed to a corpse in the premises. In a reportedly not open-view "shed" the detective officers then discovered the body.
"At the moment, neither reliable information on the gender nor the identity of the person found can be made," it said.
In order to destroy as few traces as possible, the corpse had been transported by the fire department on the open roof of the house. For autopsy, the corpse was then placed in forensic medicine. When the autopsy should take place is unclear. Further details on the case are also not known yet.
