A Facebook post from a 29-year-old US citizen from San Diego has caused a sensation in the social networks. Jenna Evans has published photos showing an ultrasound of her body from the chest to the pelvis. Next to the spine, a round, brightly lit object stands out - her engagement ring.
In April, Jenna Evan's friend made her a wedding proposal and gave her a 2.4-carat diamond ring. Wednesday morning, Evans woke up to find that the ring was gone. The 29-year-old had swallowed the jewelry at night. Her fiancé had urged her in a dream, she writes in the Facebook post.
She dreamed that evil men surrounded her and her friend on a train ride. Her future groom told her to swallow the ring to protect him. "I pulled off that stupid thing, put it in my mouth and flushed it down with a glass of water," Evans writes.
In the morning she realized what she had done during the night. She could not stop laughing, Evans said. Soon she got a lot of pain. Her fiancé then took her to the hospital. "A big ring with spikes in the intestines, that really hurts," Evans said in an interview with NBC 7 San Diego.
The doctors took the ring from Evan's body. Meanwhile, the future bride wears his finger again. She assumed that the incident was unique. Nevertheless, she has arranged an appointment with a sleep specialist, she told in an interview.
After all, she can laugh about the story. On Facebook, Evans joked about her mishap and wrote: "Jewelry that is so beautiful that you could eat it, but do not do it - trust me."
