The German climate activist Luisa Neubauer becomes a columnist at the "Stern". From this Thursday, the 23-year-old writes alternately with three other authors under the title "On the way to tomorrow", as the magazine announced.
In its first article Neubauer criticizes therefore the climate policy of the Federal Government. The woman from Hamburg is considered the German face of the "Friday for Future" movement, which demands more ambition from politicians in the fight against climate change. "Almost 30 years of missed climate targets are behind us," Neubauer writes. German politics is content with quarrels - without anything binding being set in motion.
The column is about sustainability and climate. In addition to Neubauer, the philosopher Richard David Precht, the social psychologist Harald Welzer and the cultural scientist Aleida Assmann will have their say regularly.
