A dog attack on a two-year-old in Duisburg obviously took a different course than initially assumed. According to the first information of his aunt, the boy was not attacked in a park by the animal of an unknown owner, police said. Rather, the Doberman bit the child in the apartment of the aunt.
The dog owner is not unknown according to the authority. He is an acquaintance of the aunt. The animal was therefore to care in the apartment of 42-year-olds. The disaster happened to the kitchen detectives as she prepared the lunch, leaving her child and dog behind.
The boy was bitten in the face by the dog and seriously injured. The aunt brought the child to the hospital together with his mother. The boy's father then called the police. The women then told him and the officials the fictitious story of the unknown dog owner.
Then the police searched for witnesses of the alleged incident in the park and the alleged owner of the dog. In the social media dog owners from the neighborhood were wrongly suspected, it was said by the police. The aunt has since given her false information.
Both women now have to expect a trial for spoofing a crime. The 42-year-old also has to answer for negligent assault.
