Colombia: Investigators seize submarine with cocaine

In Colombia, the Navy has secured a submarine with eight tons of cocaine. The drug smugglers' vehicle, equipped for trips under the surface of the water, was intercepted off the port town of Tumaco in the southwest of the country, as the radio station Caracol reported.

According to the radio station, cocaine has a sales value of at least $ 264 million. According to the news portal "La Libertad", the fund even includes eight tons and a value of $ 500 million. It is the largest vehicle for drug smuggling discovered in the history of the country.

20 submarines this year

According to Caracol, the drug was destined for Central America. Again and again submarines are being seized with drug deliveries on Colombia's coasts. This year it was already 20, the station reported.
