21-year-old drives on S-Bahn and goes up in flames

In Frankfurt am Main, a man has mounted a train. The 21-year-old touched the overhead contact line while driving - and suffered serious injuries.



A 21-year-old rode on the roof of a S-Bahn in Frankfurt am Main and caught fire. He suffered severe burn injuries, as a spokesman for the federal police said.

Accordingly, the man climbed on Sunday morning at half past six at Frankfurt Central Station on the roof of the train. When the train went through a tunnel a little later, the man came to the overhead lines and went up in flames.

At the entrance to a station he crashed from the roof of the train onto the platform. According to the spokesman, he suffered third-degree burns on 25 percent of his body area and fractured several bones.

In the hospital, the man had been put into an artificial coma. Therefore, you have not been able to ask him to the background of the incident, said the spokesman. Due to the emergency medical service there were numerous delays in the S-Bahn traffic.
