The last season of "Game of Thrones" split fans worldwide. One of the actors has his own way of dealing with the controversy over the end of the fantasy saga: Kit Harington aka Jon Snow just did not look at it.
"I did not see the final season," he told Entertainment Weekly on the sidelines of the Emmy Awards. He knew, however, what she had demanded of the actors. "It has not been easy and everyone has made an effort and invested love."
The disagreements to the end of the series, the actors had therefore not really met, said the 32-year-old the magazine. They would have known what they were doing - and it was the right thing both in terms of the plot and their characters. They spent ten years in their roles, so they were so aware of that.
The series has won two prizes at the Emmy Awards: "Game of Thrones" has been awarded Best Drama Series and actor Peter Dinklage got an Emmy for his role as Tyrion. Earlier, "Game of Thrones" had already collected ten trophies in secondary categories.
Harington was nominated for Best Actor at the Emmys. However, Billy Porter won for his role in "Pose".
Since June 2018, Harington is married to his former serial partner, Briton Rose Leslie. The two had met in 2012 during the shooting of "Game of Thrones".
In May, "Game of Thrones" ended after eight seasons. Shortly thereafter, Harington was treated to a "Wellness Retreat". The actor had wanted to use the break in his diary to work on some "personal problems", said his spokesman. Earlier this year, Harington said in an interview that the shooting was "damn exhausting."
