The police and the city of Cologne warn against taking a suspected life-threatening glucose mixture from a Cologne pharmacy. In the past week, a 28-year-old and her child born by emergency C-section had died as a result of the ingestion, the authorities said.
Another woman with the same remedy also had complications. She had stopped taking. A doctor reported both cases last Thursday.
The authorities expressly warned against taking any form of glucose containing and produced in the Heiliger-Geist pharmacy in Longerich district. Anyone who still has the corresponding preparations in his possession, urged to deliver them to the nearest police station.
According to the current state of research, only drugs produced in this pharmacy are affected.
According to the police, evidence was obtained during a search. The city of Cologne had forbidden the pharmacist to sell self-produced drugs until the facts were clarified. A murder commission determined accordingly.
