Priests from the diocese of Trier on leave for abusive charges

A Catholic clergyman from Rhineland-Palatinate should have tried to abuse a minor person. Now the prosecutor investigates, the priest is on leave.



One day before the start of the General Assembly of the German Bishops' Conference, a new case of abuse in the Catholic Church has become known. The priest has been given a leave of absence because of allegations of abuse. The prosecution investigate the clergy for attempted sexual abuse of a "minor" person, said the diocese of Trier.
