On Wednesday, an Apache military helicopter collided over highway 7 with power cables. According to local media, the helicopter had to make an emergency landing at around 8.45 pm after the accident. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the cause of the accident. The US armed forces responded to inquiries about the incident near Rothenburg ob der Tauber initially not.
A large contingent was on site with up to 15 fire trucks. Overall, the operator N-Ergie were cut off six high-voltage cables and damaged at least two electricity pylons. The latter are endangered in their stability. In order to exclude the danger of the motorists on the route precaution measures were initiated according to highway directorate Northern Bavaria.

The motorway was closed between the junctions Bad Windsheim and Rothenburg. Around noon, all tracks were passable again.
