A 30-year-old has called the police in Rhineland-Palatinate because of a boar rot. The man was jogging according to the officials in the Mundatwald near Böllenborn. When he returned on Monday evening, about 20 wild boar had gathered around his car.
They had eaten acorns that lay in front of the car. The man tried from a safe distance to drive the animals with shouts - without success. Then he called the police.
With blue lights and sirens the animals were chased away according to the police. "But you have formed no escape route," joked a police spokesman.
Wild boars have a natural fear of humans. They are only a danger if they see no escape or if they want to protect their young.
