Marvel producer: Kevin Feige works on "Star Wars" movie

Now, "Star Wars" will usher in a "new era," Alan Horn of Walt Disney Studios told the Hollywood Reporter. And that probably includes getting your head behind the successful Marvel productions on board: According to Horn, the "Avengers" producer Kevin Feige is working on a joint film project with Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy.

Making sense of a new chapter in the saga would make sense, Horn said. Because Feige is such a big fan of Star Wars movies. And probably because Feige is one of Hollywood's most influential producers. He is responsible for successful blockbusters such as "Iron Man" or "Spider-Man" - and has this year with "Avengers: Endgame" the world's most successful film in the history of cinema with revenues of about 2.8 billion dollars (about 2.5 billion Euro).

The First Star Warrior Adventure (1977) was staged by George Lucas. He sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney several years ago. The studio also has the rights to the science fiction saga. With "Star Wars: The Awakening of Power", director JJ Abrams launched a new trilogy in 2015. In December 2017, director Rian Johnson delivered "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", the second installment of the cinema series.
