Düsseldorf: alleged gang rape

2019-09-26T15:58:43.200Z

A girl apparently lured a woman in the Düsseldorf Hofgarten - there the 51-year-old was then raped by several young people. The four suspects are in custody.

The Düsseldorf police have arrested four teenagers who allegedly raped, injured and robbed a 51-year-old. The suspects, including a 14-year-old girl, are in custody, according to police.

To be sure, it should have come in June. The woman had left a loud disco police in the Dusseldorf Old Town, apparently because she did not feel well. She had gone to a public toilet. There, the 14-year-old woman addressed the woman.

The child offered his help to the woman and led her to the nearby court garden to "catch a breath of fresh air". There, the girl greeted the other three teenagers. Two of the boys are 15, a suspect is 17 years old.

The group then pushed the woman deeper and deeper into the park and raped her on a hill. The victim had been robbed of the purse and the cell phone. The victim found help after the fact in a hotel on the edge of the park.

DNA hits in the database

The police secured DNA traces - and landed two hits: A 15-year-old and the 17-year-old had already been treated as an intensive offender, their DNA was in the database. They were arrested in the homes of their parents in Ratingen.

Both would then betray their alleged accomplices. According to the "Rheinischer Post", the mother of the 14-year-old turned to the police. Her daughter had brought a cell phone home and could not explain where she got it from. The police then secured the smartphone with the mother of the 14-year-old girl near Dortmund.

That a 14-year-old was arrested, was unusual, as the police spokesman said. With her, the court apparently saw danger of flight: she has - like the other three suspects - no German citizenship. In addition, she has no permanent residence and little solid social ties, said a police spokesman. You come from time to time in a home on the Lower Rhine.

Details of the origin of four detainees did not make the spokesman due to the age of the parties.
