A truck has lost about 136,000 fertilized eggs on a highway in the state of Pennsylvania. According to the police, the driver had driven over a hill on his way to a hatchery in Elizabethtown, losing the load.
As the newspaper "The Republican Herald" reported, the 66-year-old driver of the transporter did not notice that the load fell out of the semitrailer. He drove on, leaving the broken eggs on the road.
In addition to more than 136,000 eggs were also 8500 liters of egg products landed on the highway and flowed down the hill. The affected section of the road in Hegins was subsequently closed for cleanup for several hours.
