In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, a hunter has seriously injured a hunting colleague with a presumably accidental shot through a car roof. The incident occurred, according to police on Thursday afternoon in Nostorf.
The 74-year-old Sagittarius had claimed to be supported with his rifle on the roof of the car to kill a fallow deer, it was said by the authority. However, the projectile penetrated the car roof for unknown reasons and injured the second hunter sitting in the passenger seat.
The 60-year-old was hospitalized with a serious head injury. The police seized the gun and the car to secure tracks. Against the shooter is now being investigated on suspicion of negligent assault.
