The comeback was spectacular: The controversial entrepreneur Lars Windhorst has shopped at Hertha BSC. 37.5 percent of the capital club now belong to him. In a second step, another 12.4 percent of the shares are expected to go to him shortly. Windhorst calculates that Hertha has catching up potential internationally. "Hertha, like other clubs in London or Madrid, can become a real 'big city club'," he told SPIEGEL in June. He hopes the club's presence in the capital will bring tremendous growth.
