It is the sixth child: James van der Beek and his wife Kimberly become parents again. On Instagram, the actor announced that he was "incredibly happy."
The family decided this time to address a topic that hardly anyone is talking about. His wife and he had had three miscarriages. Three times they went to the doctor for the first examination, three times it was said "no heartbeat or no baby".

Thrilled beyond being able to announce that they have a little bundle of joy. We've got our first ultrasound on camera with our #DWTS crew capturing the result - something I NEVER thought we'd ever do ... but @ vanderkimberly and I've been through three of those first appointments to discover either no heartbeat, or no baby, and she wanted to share this moment. Miscarriage (a word that needs a replacement) is something that people often talk about, and often go through in secret. But there is a need to be around it, or to give yourself time and space to grieve. We have come to the conclusion that we have come to the end of our lives family when they need it most. There should be "zero shame" on the topic. His family decided to go public to fight against any false stigma. This time, he wrote, they had tears of joy in their eyes after the appointment with the doctor.
Van der Beek is 42 years old and is best known for his role in the series "Dawson's Creek". He then starred in such films as Texas Rangers, Rules of the Game, Labor Day and Downsizing. His wife Kimberly and he have five children.
