Nearly 35 years after the assassination of US director Barry Crane, a suspect in Los Angeles has been brought before the magistrate. According to the public prosecutor's office, the 53-year-old pleaded "not guilty" in the murder charges.
Edwin H. is accused of killing his victim in July 1985 with a large ceramic sculpture. The body was found with a telephone cord around the neck.
After a DNA reconciliation, the suspect was arrested in May 2018 in the US state of North Carolina. In a first questioning in March, according to the police H. should have been the crime. The 57-year-old was born in Detroit and most recently worked as a car mechanic in Rutherford College. At the time of the crime he was 18 years old.
