According to police in Lingen, a witness saw the boy on Wednesday at first behind the wheel of a car with an empty trailer. A little later he remembered the child again - this time while transporting a sofa with the trailer. The witness informed the police.
A little later, the police arrived at the family home address. After informing the boy of the reason for their appearance, the boy began to cry.
According to the police, he had already unloaded the sofa together with his father at this time. In conversation with the officials, he asked his mother in tears why he had to drive the car. He did not get an answer from her, the officials said.
After the incident, the police now investigates driving without a license. The boy's parents must expect consequences. The 13-year-old is not yet convicted.
