In the twin city of Ulm / Neu-Ulm there are problems with the so-called Tuning and Poserszene for some time. According to the police, local residents complain of loud cars, unnecessary back and forth and dangers of driving fast in the evenings and at weekends.
With a large-scale action, the police has now gone against the tuning scene. In the process, 35 souped-up cars were piloted on a company site in Ulm for inspection purposes and tested there with the help of three experts, the agency said. In a total of 20 of the cars, the conversions were not allowed, with 16 of these cars went out as a result even the operating permit.
In the cars whose operating license was extinguished as a result of the control, there were above all changes to the chassis in an improper combination with the wheels. But also changes to the exhaust system led to the expiry of the operating permit - the cars were too loud.
Six of the 20 cars were secured, police said. About these vehicles will now be an opinion created because the cars were no longer safe because of the structural changes.
