The impact was so strong that it slid 30 meters over the road. At the end of August, Dominique Horwitz was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. From this the actor drew consequences.

After a serious traffic accident, the German-French actor Dominique Horwitz never wants to ride a motorcycle again. "I do not want to challenge fate again," he told the "Bild" newspaper. "I am grateful that I am still alive, which is certainly a miracle with the severity of the accident."

Horwitz had seriously injured himself in a motorcycle accident in Weimar at the end of August, but according to his own words, was very lucky. "I have not suffered a single fracture," he told the paper.

The 62-year-old's Harley Davidson had collided with a pickup truck at a crossroads, the driver of which had allegedly disobeyed the right of way. After the collision, the actor slid into a shrubbery about 30 meters down the road and was rushed to the hospital for emergency care. The driver of the pickup truck was unhurt.

After a month and a half back on stage

About the accident Horwitz shows still stunned. "I've actually been overlooked on my voluminous machine, and when a vehicle that comes to meet me will drive in unchecked - that's very scary," he told the media.

One and a half months after his accident, Horwitz is on stage again on Monday. In Wintergarten Varieté in Berlin, he appears at a concert that is to commemorate the late Harald Juhnke in 2005.

Horwitz works as an actor, singer and writer. The native Parisian was already several times in the ARD crime series "crime scene" to see.
