Notorious stowaway re-arrested at the airport

Again and again Marilyn Hartman cheated on board flights - only in March, the 67-year-old was sentenced to probation. Now the American has been caught again without a ticket.

A notoriously stale passenger has been arrested at the airport in Chicago. The 67-year-old is no stranger to the police: Marilyn Hartman has been caught in and around airports dozens of times in the past, and in some cases even managed to get on board without a ticket.

In March, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison on probation in Chicago. Marilyn Hartman had admitted to flying from Chicago to London last year without a ticket after slipping by the security staff. Now Hartmann has repeated her actions - and was caught by police.

Hartman had tried at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago to bypass the security check without documents, the police said. Then the 67-year-old was arrested for trespassing. A judge set a bail, but ordered her to remain in detention pending a hearing.

Already at the trial in March Hartmann had pleaded guilty to the trespassing. In court, she apologized to the airports for the problems she caused. The 67-year-old entered into a so-called plea deal with the judiciary. Part of this agreement was that she was no longer allowed to enter Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports without a ticket.
