Before the removal of a World War II bomb in Cologne, an impatient neighbor attacked a policeman at a police station. The 64-year-old had punched the officer abruptly in the face, the police said.
Previously, a US-American ten-hundredth bomb from the Second World War had been found on a construction site in the Lindenthal district. Originally the bomb was to be defused on site - but had to be closed on Monday evening, several streets and rail lines. Later, the city decided to transport the bomb and blow up controlled in the district Westhoven.
The passerby had initially ignored a tape on a sidewalk and then ran onto the road, it was said in a message from the police. A policeman had stopped the cologne and held on the arm. Then the passerby went without warning on the official.
Policemen overwhelmed the attacker, who suffered a grave wound on his head. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The policeman hurt himself easily.
