A man has reportedly killed four people in the western United States and then put one of the bodies in the police car. The suspect appeared on Monday at the guard in Mt. Shasta in the north of the state of California, the local police said.
There he confessed to have killed a total of four people. One of the bodies he had brought in the car, the other three dead had discovered investigators in his apartment in about 300 kilometers away Roseville near Sacramento.
"Currently, we assume that the suspect and the victims knew each other," says the police in Mt. Shasta. "The only suspect in the matter is in custody, and we do not believe there is another threat to the public."
About a possible motive is not yet known. More information about the case is due to be announced during a Tuesday press briefing, police said in Roseville.
