Singer Ellie Goulding is evidently overtaken by the other side of her success: The 32-year-old has now spoken openly about her mental health problems. She suffers from the imposter syndrome.

About six weeks ago, Ellie Goulding had a happy time: she had married the love of her life, surrounded by people who matter to her, she wrote on Instagram. She was overwhelmed with gratitude. Also professionally it works well for the singer.

But what looks like sheer luck on the outside does not always feel that way for the 32-year-old. Apparently, the singer is always overtaken by chronic sadness. Above all, her career repeatedly plunged her into massive self-doubt. That's what she has told on Instagram.

The back and forth between exciting performances and the return to normal everyday life is hard to bear. "The constant tempo change is sometimes just too much," she wrote.

Mental Health Awareness, for what it's worth. What are we doing, what are we doing, are we exhilaration, madness, absolutely nothing at all, confusion, chronic sadness ... (I can sometimes feel all these things in the space of a few days ). I am beyond relieved to be a full-time performer on the complexity of going from being a touring artist / performer to going straight back to normal on a regular basis. The constant change of pace is sometimes just too much to bare. Thank you to those artists who have spoken so candidly about it. I know I've chosen this job but nothing could have come up with it. I do not believe in happiness, which results in wanting to sabotage my own success. I keep my head straight through a workout every day (running and boxing mainly) and although it is so hard to motivate, the feeling of blood pumping through my legs and a human body makes it so cool is to be alive. Today I'm thinking about my grandfather, who took his own life a few years back. I wish I had spoken to him more, and I wish he had the smallest clue of how unhappy he was. I admire those who get out of bed every morning and seize the day, even when they're not feeling too great. That requires a lot of courage. Please know that you are amazingly amazing and I'm proud of you. Ellie xx #mentalhealthawareness

Goulding chose to be a singer, she wrote. "But nothing has prepared me for the ups and downs." She suffers from mental health problems: "I know that many of my fears come from the so-called imposture syndrome." As a result, they do not believe enough in themselves and think that they do not deserve happiness. So she would sabotage her own success.

Through daily sports, she gets her head free, wrote Goulding. Although sometimes difficult to motivate, she would do well and show her how beautiful life is.

Goulding also thanked the artists who, during the World Mental Health Day last week, drew attention to psychological issues and talked about them openly.

Ellie Goulding: "Sometimes just too much"

Currently they are thinking a lot about the suicide of their grandfather a few years ago. In retrospect, she would have liked to talk more to him: "I wish I had an idea of how unhappy he was."

Goulding was also aimed at people who would often feel like them: "I admire those who get up every morning and use the day, even if they do not feel too good." That requires a lot of courage. "You should know that you are doing great and that I am proud of you."
