Rain and storm have caused northern Germany an uncomfortable start to the weekend. In Hamburg, the fire brigade had to leave about 20 times due to weather conditions on Friday, a spokesman said. First and foremost, the missions involved fallen trees or branches. Between Hamburg and Pinneberg also the S-Bahn traffic was temporarily interrupted because a tree had fallen on the tracks.
After a weather-related incident, the return journey of the "Halunder Jet" from Heligoland to Hamburg was canceled. The catamaran was pressed to the quay because of the storm, the damage is still under investigation, confirmed a spokeswoman. Passengers were transported back to Cuxhaven by MS Helgoland. For Saturday the trip with the "Halunder Jet" was canceled.
In Schleswig-Holstein , the regional headquarters reported about 40 missions due to storm and rain. Trees in the trackbed caused disruptions in the train service between Hamburg and Büchen, as Deutsche Bahn announced on Twitter.
UPDATE 2
The route between #Hamburg and #Berlin is still blocked. Trains are currently being detained in #Hamburg. The reason for this are delays and backflow effects on the detour route at #Uelzen. https://t.co/5HUggyFNdZ
Between Berlin and Hamburg travelers have to adjust on Friday evening in long-distance traffic to about 90 minutes delay. Because of trees in the track, the train traffic must currently be diverted, said a spokesman for the Deutsche Bahn in the evening. First, it was unclear how long the delays will take. According to initial findings, the trees had fallen due to gusts of wind on the track.

Low chances on golden october days
The low "Thilo" continues to shape the weather in Germany this weekend. With temperatures that can sometimes rise to 15 to 20 degrees, it is rather mild for the season until Sunday. High humidity and many clouds in the sky but can expect rain and even one or the other thunderstorms, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Friday. At the North Sea must be expected until Saturday morning even with storm gusts. Only in the southeast of Germany are the chances not bad to get the sun to face.
In a broad area stripe from North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland to the Baltic Sea, clouds and partly prolonged rain have to be expected on Sunday. On the alpine peaks heavy storm gusts or gale-force gusts are possible.
