The police speak of a "bold and above all life-threatening incident": Because his wife was not yet on the platform, a 34-year-old in Essen, the S-Bahn has forced to wait.
According to the police, the man unexpectedly stood in front of the train on the tracks, thus preventing the departure at the Essen-West station. Only when the wife was on the spot, the Dortmunder climbed back onto the platform and boarded the woman on the train, as the federal police announced.
Forces had put the man at the next stop of the S-Bahn. A criminal case for disturbing public enterprises was instituted against him. According to the Federal Police, the 34-year-old had apparently requested from the engine driver to wait for the woman before the incident. When he found no hearing, he stood in front of the tracks.
