Before the Dusseldorf administrative court Nabil Bentaleb had sued by FC Schalke 04 against the withdrawal of his license. Now the court dismissed his claim. The footballer was "driven in a way that jeopardizes all our safety," said the judge.
It is extremely unusual that someone accumulates 14 points in the Flensburg traffic offenders register in just ten months. The authorities could have collected his license earlier. Bentaleb is said to have been traveling at 120 kilometers per hour in the Düsseldorf Rheinufertunnel - instead of the 70 allowed there.
The national player had been ordered to undergo medical and psychological examinations. Because he did not present the result of the test of his ability to drive, despite repeated requests, the road authority had deprived him of the driver's license.
"No blonde, long-haired woman at the wheel"
Bentaleb's lawyer said on Wednesday that his client was in most cases not at the wheel, but acquaintances of the kicker, which could also testify. However, the court pointed out that the footballer had not filed any of the twelve fines and taken a total of four months driving ban.
In the meantime, these decisions are final. The photos taken during the tempo violations also bore a certain resemblance to the plaintiff. "At least there was no blonde, long-haired woman at the wheel," said the judge and recommended the footballer, rather to strive for a new driver's license.
The judgment is not yet final (Az .: 6 K 4486/18).
