Inka Aniol is a residential psychologist. Even as a child she drew floor plans. And even today, she hangs pictures in hotel rooms or drives the furniture crazy if she feels better about it. Setting up is Inca's passion. "I could not stand living in makeshift spaces, I always want to go on," she says.
Only when is an apartment finished? Our needs are constantly changing in the course of life - and with it the wishes of our home. Maybe the place is no longer enough, because over time we have more and more things. Or the girlfriend or friend moves in: Since then fits the previous housing layout is not really correct. And because rents are rising dramatically, especially in big cities, many people can no longer afford to move.
It is therefore all the more important to make the best possible use of the space available to us - to make us feel good. "You can easily get rid of the floor plans," recommends Inka. "The biggest room does not always have to be the living room, what's important is that I can unfold in my apartment and that the others who live there can also develop."
So how do we succeed in adapting our home to changed phases of life? Which room layout makes sense? And how do we recognize what is important to us?
