Self-Portrait. Vincent van Gogh is one - if not the - pioneer of modernity. Two exhibitions in Frankfurt am Main and Potsdam show a total of almost 80 of his works. The Dutchman portrayed himself time and again his self. Of him more than 30 self-portraits are known. This one can be seen in the Städel in Frankfurt. It is a loan from The Art Institute of Chicago.
