At Krefeld Central Station, a 34-year-old is said to have shoved a man onto a track with a bicycle - just before a train arrived. The cyclist was able to save himself and remained unhurt.

Because of a dispute, a 34-year-old man is said to have bumped into a cyclist in Krefeld Central Station in front of an arriving train. The suspect is now in custody, said the prosecutor.

The District Court had issued arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter and dangerous intrusion into rail traffic.

The suspect is said to have shoved a 37-year-old man and his bike into a track bed during the night on Saturday. According to police, the incoming train made a full stop, the 37-year-old could therefore roll away in time and was unhurt.

What exactly happened in the conflict between the two men is still unclear. Both parties are already known to the police.
