After the disappearance of a British tourist in Cambodia, the country's police and army launched a large-scale search for the 21-year-old. On the island of Koh Rong in the south of the country were nearly 200 police officers and soldiers in action, as a representative of the agency AFP said. Briton Amelia Bambridge was last seen at around 3:30 pm on Thursday at a beach party.
The divers looked for the missing in the sea off Koh Rong, the other forces were combing the jungle, as Kheang Phearun, provincial government spokesman for Preah Sihanouk, said.

The BBC reports that the night she disappeared, she had been celebrating with people from her hostel. They had reported missing friends because she had not returned to the shelter.
The bag and cell phone of the 21-year-olds were found on the so-called Police Beach, where the beach party had taken place - the beach is so called because of a nearby guard. According to spokesman Phearun, Bambridge's family arrived in Cambodia on Sunday night. She is housed in the nearby town of Sihanoukville.
Koh Rong is the second largest island in Cambodia. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, it is popular among backpackers and young travelers.
