The earth warms up and the consequences become more and more drastic. But Germany is still far from reaching the goals of the 2030 Paris Climate Agreement. How can politics meet this enormous task?
North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Armin Laschet and "Fridays for Future" activist Luisa Neubauer discussed this at the Frankfurt Book Fair in mid-October. The 23-year-old confronted the CDU politician again and again with his direct responsibility for Germany's climate policy. That's another reason why the conversation caused a stir. You can now hear the whole discussion in the podcast.
Through the conversation, the SPIEGEL editor Annette Bruhns has led. It was recorded as part of the event series "Spiegel Live" on October 19 at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
