He was sentenced to life imprisonment: a condemned sex offender in the US was apparently released due to a mistake. The authorities warn against approaching the man.

Forces in Georgia are looking for a convicted offender. Tony Maycon Munoz-Mendez was "mistakenly" released from prison in Reidsville on October 25, the detention center said.

The man 31-year-old was sentenced in 2015 for rape and child abuse to life imprisonment, the broadcasters WSB-TV and CNN report, citing official documents. How it came to the dismissal and when the responsible noticed the error is still unclear. The department is reviewing the circumstances, a spokeswoman said, according to CNN.

All resources would be used to ensure the speedy capture of Munoz-Mendez, according to the law enforcement agency. If you see the man, you should not approach him and dial the emergency call.
