First snow on the Zugspitze

The first harbingers of the winter arrived in the south of Germany. On the Zugspitze fell 20 centimeters of fresh snow.

It has snowed on the Zugspitze and in other parts of the Alps. On Germany's highest mountain about 20 centimeters of fresh snow have been measured, said a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD).

Snow throwers were used on the Zugspitze (2962 meters), adults and children use the first snow for tobogganing. Also on Thursday it could snow again on the Zugspitze, then it should be over for the time being again.
