Sharper than Police Allowed: In Sydney, the Australian police seized 400 kilograms of the drug Crystal Meth - hidden in chilli sauce bottles.

On a freight yard in Sydney, the Australian police seized 400 kilograms of the drug Crystal Meth. Four men were arrested, the investigators said.

The drug worth more than 185 million euros was discovered in 768 Sriracha chilli bottles. Accordingly, the border police found the drugs already in mid-October, the program came from the USA.

Record in June: 1.6 tonnes of Crystal

It is estimated that approximately ten tons of crystal meth are consumed each year in Australia. In June, police discovered just under 1.6 tonnes in loudspeakers aboard a freighter from Thailand. It was the largest amount of drugs seized until then in Australia. Crystal meth - actually methamphetamine - is also called ice or meth in the drug milieu.

In July, the Border Guard discovered 7.5 liters of liquid meth in snow globes. Danielle Yannopoulos, Regional Commandant at the Border Guard in New South Wales, said the agency has invested a lot in its own technology in recent years. Criminals who tried to hide such substances in new and imaginative ways wasted their time.
