In Passau, a man has been stabbed on the open streets. Passersby found the 33-year-old on Thursday evening on the sidewalk in front of a pizzeria, as the police in Straubing announced.
He suffered a puncture wound in the upper body. Despite immediate resuscitation by an ambulance, the man died on the spot.
A search for the perpetrator has so far been unsuccessful. The Criminal Investigation Department opened an investigation into a homicidal crime - and hopes for evidence from witnesses.
