In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, a well-known right-wing extremist could advertise his company in a children's booklet of the German Police Union (DPolG). Interior Minister Lorenz Caffier reacted with great incomprehension to this ad.
"It is not only embarrassing but completely unacceptable for a police union, a designated and well-known right-wing extremists to allow such advertising," said the CDU politician. He demanded a complete enlightenment.
His house was told this week by the ad - and immediately banned to continue to interpret or distribute the traffic education booklet. "Even if the German police union acts independently of political parties, churches and state in their work, such a thing must not happen," Caffier said - he expected a clear positioning of the union.
The DPolG-Landesvorsitzende regretted the "Nordkurier" according to the incident. The newspaper writes of a partner publishing house, with which the union issues the booklet. He was responsible for the advertisements in the magazine - and he was not aware of the demeanor of the demolition contractor in Northwest Mecklenburg.
