Passau district court issued a warrant for the arrest of a man who allegedly killed a 33-year-old in the town of Lower Bavaria. The 26-year-old is accused of murder and was taken to a correctional facility, the police said.
The man had asked himself on Saturday morning in the Hessian Wiesbaden, where he should have acquaintances. He was transferred to Passau.
Passers-by had found the 33-year-old victim on Thursday with a serious stab wound. The man died shortly afterwards. An ambulance had tried in vain to revive him.
The police assume that the murder weapon is a knife, a spokesman said. The two men knew each other according to the police. Initial investigations showed that they have had significant problems with each other for a long time. The investigators assume that they had fallen into conflict before the knife cut.
The exact sequence is still unclear. The police had reported that the location of the man at a pizzeria in the Passauer Innstraße probably not the crime scene. The investigators suspect the scene instead in the area of the central bus station (ZOB) and a nearby food market.
