It has the colors pink, blue and white: in the Dutch city of Almere near Amsterdam, there is now a transgender zebra crossing. The colors all have a very specific meaning.
Rosa stands for girls, blue for boys - and white for people who do not associate with either of these two sexes. There is also a rainbow zebra crossing for the homosexual community.
"In Almere everyone can be as he wants," said Social Democrat head Jerzy Soetekouw, according to Dutch media reports. The want to clarify this with the zebra stripes once again.
