Explosion in residential building

The criminal investigation has taken after an explosion with a dead in a residential building in the Saxon Striegistal investigations. Residents alerted the emergency services after hearing a loud bang from a neighboring property, the police said Sunday night.

Rescue workers and police found a body in the house. In addition, they discovered signs of detonation. Also in the house was a slightly injured 21-year-old, who had been taken as a precaution to the hospital, it said.

Further details were not known. The investigation was still ongoing in the evening.
