The sun shines, perfect weather for a bike ride: On several photos, the actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has posted on Instagram, he is with the climate activist Greta Thunberg on a trip to see on the Pacific coast. The two have apparently met during Thunberg's current US residency in Schwarzenegger's adopted city of California.
"It was fantastic to see my girlfriend and one of my heroines last week and do a bike ride around Santa Monica with her," the 72-year-old wrote to the photos. The former governor of California and founder of an environmental organization published a total of five pictures. In addition to the 16-year-old Swede and Schwarzenegger, his 28-year-old daughter Christina and Greta's father, Svante Thunberg, can be seen on bicycles.

The young climate activist has been in the USA since the end of August and had also met with Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. One of the main reasons for their trip across the Atlantic Ocean on a high seas yacht was their participation in the December Climate Change Conference in Chile. However, the Chilean government surprisingly canceled the conference due to ongoing social protests in the country.
Because the event is now scheduled to take place in Madrid, Thunberg is currently exploring how to return to Europe. She has already excluded a flight.
Whether Schwarzenegger could give her a travel recommendation is not known. The former action hero gave the activist a wish along the way. "Stay so inspiring, Greta!", Wrote the Hollywood star. He had already met Thunberg at the end of May in Vienna. There she gave a speech at a climate conference hosted by Schwarzenegger's environmental organization.
