Concern for a legend of French cinema: Catherine Deneuve has suffered a minor stroke, according to her family. The 76-year-old had been taken to a hospital in Paris, it was said in one of her agent's statement of the family.
Fortunately, the stroke has no effect on Deneuve's ability to move. But she will need some rest for a while.
Several French media had previously reported that Deneuve had been admitted to a Paris clinic during the night on Wednesday. She is currently shooting the film "De son vivant" with Benoît Magimel in the Paris region. On Tuesday, reports "Le Parisien" she was still on the set.
The actress is one of the grande dames of French film art. The native Parisian has worked in a hundred films. Her best-known films are "Disgust" by Roman Polanski "Belle de Jour" by Luis Buñuel or "Desire". Her biggest successes include her role as a marriage swindler in "The Secret of the False Bride" alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo.
