A gray hoodie, casual jeans and colorful sneakers. Striking brand names are striking. Alojz Abram from Mainz obviously likes expensive clothes. Nothing special in itself - but he is 73 years old and a social media phenomenon.
Once a week he publishes a picture with a new look - the photographer is his grandson, Jannik Diefenbach. Together with his grandfather Alojz, the 22-year-old runs the Instagram channel "jaadiee".
"He is the face of the whole and I am the brain behind it," says Diefenbach on the distribution of roles. It all started three years ago at Christmas: "I asked my grandfather if he would like to try on my clothes." The spontaneous idea has created an Instagram account with around 625,000 subscribers.

His grandson believes that they are so successful with their channel. In the beginning, his grandfather did not feel so comfortable in the trendy clothes. Photography in public places was less relaxed for him. "Now you enjoy when people look at you," says Diefenbach to his grandfather.

The new career has changed the pensioner. He used to work as a glassmaker, was introverted and reserved, says his grandson. In the meantime, he had become more open and active, his style of clothing had changed. Checked shirts or short-sleeved shirts have his grandfather in the closet, but he does not wear them anymore. Instead, he now prefer wearing colorful and fashionable sneakers, hoodies and expensive brands.
