Police investigate suspected commercial theft: In Hesse, officials have come across hundreds of allegedly stolen parcels. An employee of the parcel delivery service and his wife are suspected.

Police in Hesse found 120 allegedly stolen parcels of goods worth € 100,000 during a search of their apartment. Urgently suspect are a 41-year-old woman and her six years older partner, prosecutors and police said in Kassel. In-house investigations of a parcel post had brought the authorities on the track of the pair.

Packages had disappeared from a distribution center over and over again. The 47-year-old worked at this time as a supplier to the company and came into the focus of the investigators. The company filed a complaint with the police, which could substantiate the suspicion against the man.

Accordingly, he is said to have stolen parcels since the beginning of 2018. Together with his partner, he sold the goods - electronics, cosmetics, toys and clothing - via various accounts on online classified ad markets. The search already took place at the end of October. It is being investigated against the couple on suspicion of commercial theft.
