Musicology student Claudia Emmanuela Santoso is the new "Voice of Germany". The 19-year-old won the ninth season of the talent show on ProSieben and Sat.1 by a huge margin on Sunday night. She was supervised by singer and songwriter Alice Merton (26). This was the first time a women's duo won the music show. "It feels really good that a woman has finally won in nine years," Merton said.
Even before the final Santoso was acted by many as a clear favorite. "I'm totally speechless now, I never expected to become a winner of The Voice of Germany," she said.
From the 6th of December, Santoso and the other finalists will be on a big tour through Germany. However, on Tuesday, the 19-year-old has yet to pass a literature exam at the university.
